Unobstructed View
2mm SS316 cables become visually invisible from a few feet away — your skyline stays yours.
Thaltej, Ahmedabad
Thaltej holds Ahmedabad's tallest homes: The Sovereign at 34 floors, The 31st at 32, Z Luxuria at 33, Times Trinity and The Quad at 30 — all within a kilometre of the SG Highway underpass at Thaltej Cross Roads. Families paid for the skyline, and nobody wants a welded cage across it. Two-millimetre SS316 cables are how Thaltej keeps the view, the elevation and the children all at once.

Living in Thaltej
Thaltej sits where west Ahmedabad's two big arteries meet: SG Highway (NH 147, carrying over a lakh vehicles a day) runs north–south through the underpass at Thaltej Cross Roads, and the Blue Line metro arrives from the east, stopping at Doordarshan Kendra, Thaltej and the Thaltej Gam terminus that opened in December 2024. Bodakdev lies across the highway with Sindhu Bhavan Road as its café strip; Hebatpur Road runs west to Zydus Hospital; the Thaltej–Shilaj Road leads to the newest plots. Palladium, PVR Acropolis and Mondeal Business Park give it a mall-and-office frontage few Ahmedabad suburbs have.
The housing stock comes in three distinct layers. Along the highway and Sindhu Bhavan Road stand the new sky towers — The Sovereign (34 floors, 102 homes), Z Luxuria (33 floors, 56 homes), The 31st (32 floors, 87 homes), Times Trinity and The Quad (30 floors each) — 4 to 7 BHK residences in the ₹3 to ₹14 crore band. Behind them is a mid-rise belt of 12 to 19 floors: Eminence 96 on Sindhu Bhavan Road, Sharanya Skyvue, Apricus II, Sky 100 at Thaltej Cross Roads, Elinor 108 on the Thaltej–Shilaj Road, and the ready 3 BHK towers of Ajmera Enigma, Gala Eternia and Deep Indraprasth 8. The third layer is older and lower: 1990s–2000s bungalow societies on Hebatpur Road — Hariharashray, Vrundavan, Suvarna — on 700 to 800 square-yard plots, plus the gam around Thaltej Lake.
The people are a mix the rest of the city rarely sees in one pin code. Business families and NRIs buy the sky residences; senior professionals rent in the mid-rise belt — Thaltej carries more flats to let than to buy, with 3 BHK rents from ₹37,000 to over a lakh a month. That matters for grills: a large share of installs here are negotiated between a tenant who wants the balcony child-safe this month and an owner who wants nothing that marks the façade. A cable system, fitted from inside with no welding and no change to the elevation, is the answer both sides accept.
Height changes the engineering. Ahmedabad falls in IS 875 wind Zone 2, with a basic wind speed of 39 metres per second, and the code recommends wind-tunnel studies for anything above 50 metres — every 30-floor Thaltej tower qualifies. On a 25th-floor balcony loose netting hums and sags and box grills rattle; tensioned 2 mm SS316 cables on anodised aluminium track, spaced two inches apart and each rated to roughly 250 kg of horizontal force, stay silent and rigid in the same wind. Nothing is fitted from outside, so the tower's façade-maintenance schedule is untouched.
The second local reality is air. The highway corridor records PM10 roughly twice the WHO guideline, and construction is the third-largest particulate source in the city — more than a dozen Thaltej projects are under build at any moment. Mild-steel bars trap that grime in every joint and need repainting after each 800 mm monsoon; nylon-coated SS316 cables wipe clean and never rust. Most societies here carry an elevation-uniformity clause; the installer's spec sheet is written to pass exactly that conversation.
Install types split by layer. Sky residences and penthouses ask for full balcony spans and terrace-edge runs with openable sections where façade-cleaning crews need access. The mid-rise towers are one-day balcony jobs, often booked by several neighbours once the first flat finishes. The Hebatpur Road bungalows want first-floor window cables, staircase voids and terrace parapets instead — same material, same rate, a different measuring visit.
Verified partner crews in the A1 Grills network quote a flat ₹95 per square foot installed across Thaltej — premium tower, bungalow plot or rented 3 BHK, the number does not move. That covers SS316 cables, anodised track, fittings and labour; gates, locks and discreet mesh are listed separately in writing. Quotes are free, you are matched with up to 2 verified installers, every span is load-tested at handover, and the installer's 10-year written warranty covers cables, track and corrosion.
Coverage runs from Thaltej Gam and Thaltej Cross Roads across the SG Highway–Sindhu Bhavan Road tower belt to Hebatpur Road and the Thaltej–Shilaj Road.

What Ahmedabad customers say
FAQ · Thaltej
A flat ₹95 per square foot installed, the same across Ahmedabad — a 34-floor tower on Sindhu Bhavan Road pays what a Hebatpur Road bungalow pays. That includes SS316 marine-grade cables, anodised aluminium track, fittings and labour. A typical 4 BHK balcony of around 40 square feet works out near ₹3,800; a 60 square-foot sky-residence deck lands around ₹5,700. Locks, gate sections and mesh are quoted separately, in writing, before any work starts.
Yes — this is the exact use case the system is engineered for. Each 2 mm SS316 cable is rated to roughly 250 kg of horizontal force, cables sit two inches apart on tensioned anodised track, and the crew load-tests the finished span on site before leaving. Ahmedabad is an IS 875 Zone 2 wind region; loose nets and bars rattle at height, tensioned cables stay silent and rigid. Everything fits from inside the balcony, so no exterior access or scaffolding is involved.
No. From a metre away the 2 mm cables read like a faint screen; from the sofa they vanish against the skyline, and at night they disappear entirely. There are no bars, no frames and no net shadow across the glass — which is why owners in The Sovereign, The 31st and Times Trinity-class towers choose cables over the box grills and black netting that lower-rise societies still use. Your balcony stays a viewing deck.
Tenant installs are routine here — Thaltej carries more flats to let than to buy. The system involves no welding and no change to the façade, which is what landlords actually object to, and the installer provides a written spec sheet you can forward to the owner and the society for approval. Many owners end up paying for it themselves once they see it protects the balcony finish and raises the flat's appeal to the next family.
Almost always, and faster than any alternative. Most Thaltej towers carry an elevation-uniformity clause; because 2 mm cables are effectively invisible from the road, the façade stays uniform even when only some flats install. Installers share the same one-page spec sheet already used in neighbouring Thaltej societies, which keeps the committee conversation short. Where a tower has an approved-vendor list, the quote is written to match that specification.
Site visits are usually offered the next day. Verified installers near you on the SG Highway belt handle Thaltej's towers constantly, so they arrive familiar with service-lift bookings, society work-hour windows and the documentation premium societies ask for. The visit takes about half an hour, every opening is measured, and a written quote follows the same day. A standard balcony installs in one working day.
This is exactly what SS316 is specified for. The SG Highway corridor records PM10 around twice the WHO guideline and Thaltej has a dozen towers under construction at any time, so balconies collect grime; nylon-coated marine-grade cables have no joints or bars for it to lodge in, and a wet cloth restores them in minutes. Through Ahmedabad's 800 mm monsoon they neither rust nor need the repainting mild steel demands, and the installer's 10-year written warranty covers corrosion outright.
Bungalows are a large share of Thaltej work. On plots along Hebatpur Road and the Thaltej–Shilaj Road, crews fit first-floor window cables, staircase-void runs and terrace-parapet spans rather than balcony panels — the material and the flat ₹95 per square foot installed rate stay identical. Openable sections are added where you want the terrace edge to fold away for cleaning, and older RCC parapets are checked for anchoring on the free site visit before anything is quoted.
