Bhaktinagar gathers around Bhaktinagar Circle where the Gondal Road meets Dhebar Road, with the Bhaktinagar railway station and the central bus stand close by. Prices sit around four thousand a square foot, among the most accessible in the city, and residents rate the locality highly for transport and walkable markets.

The people are established lower-middle and middle-class families and the engineering workforce. Bhaktinagar GIDC, inside the locality, is Rajkot's diesel-engine and pump cluster — several hundred units and thousands of workers — and the Dhebar Road machine-tool belt sits alongside it. The one-bedroom-heavy new supply points to first-time buyers and renters; the older streets hold families who have been here for decades and are now making a parent's flat safe for a grandchild.

The local condition is the hardest in Rajkot. Aji GIDC, three to four kilometres east, is a National Green Tribunal-designated severely polluted area, and the pollution board monitors a five-kilometre radius around it that takes in Bhaktinagar; the named problems are cupola-furnace foundries burning solid fuel, fugitive dust from mould-making and foundry ash. Add the GIDC and Atika industrial area inside the locality and the truck traffic on the Gondal Road, and a south-east-facing balcony collects a film of fine metallic dust that painted mild steel cannot shrug off — it pits, it rusts at the welds, and it needs repainting every few years.
