Pigeon net price — per sq.ft rates, and the 10-year math nobody shows you
HDPE and nylon per-sq.ft rates published below, typical balcony job ₹2,500–5,000 installed. And because a net is a temporary solution you'll replace every 2–3 years, we also show what the same balcony costs over ten years next to a one-time invisible grill.
No Gujarat net installer publishes rates — you find the price at the door, after the survey pressure. Ours are on this page. And because a net is a temporary solution you'll buy 3–4 times in ten years, we also publish the number that matters more: what the same balcony costs over ten years with nets versus one invisible grill.

Pigeon net price — per sq.ft
Typical balcony job: ₹2,500–5,000 installed. Minimum job value ₹2,500. Net installation is available in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Gandhinagar only — everywhere else we install the permanent invisible grill. Nets are a temporary solution: budget for replacement every 2–3 years.

The 10-year math — typical 100 sq.ft balcony
A net's price tag is only the first instalment. In the Gujarat sun the mesh lasts 2–3 years, so a decade of pigeon protection means buying the same job 3–4 times. Here is the honest side-by-side against our flat ₹95/sq.ft invisible grill — the number no net seller prints:
| Item | Invisible grill (one-time) | Pigeon net (temporary) |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront | ₹9,500 (100 sq.ft × ₹95) | ₹2,500–5,000 per install |
| Replacements in 10 years | None — SS316, 10-year warranty | 3–4 (every 2–3 years) |
| Total 10-year spend | ₹9,500 | ₹12,000–20,000 |
| Child & pet safety | Load-tested cables | Not load-rated |
Net rates are live from our price list above; grill rate is our flat ₹95/sq.ft. Both quotes come from the same free survey — no obligation either way.

What changes your net price
Area & shape
The rate is per sq.ft of opening, so the size of your balcony or window sets the base price — and odd shapes add fixing points that take extra time on site.
Material
UV-stabilised HDPE is the standard choice; heavier knotted nylon costs more per sq.ft but suits high-exposure balconies and duct areas. Both rates are in the table above.
Access & floor
High floors and towers with no ledge access need rope work, which is quoted at the survey — the published rate covers normal balcony access.
Temporary vs Permanent
A net is a fix. An invisible grill is a solution.
Pigeon net over 10 years — ₹12,000–20,000 (3–4 installs)
Invisible grill one-time — ₹9,500, nothing after
10-year spend on a typical 100 sq.ft balcony
| Pigeon net (temporary) | Invisible grill (permanent) | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | ₹2,500–5,000 per install | ₹9,500 one-time (100 sq.ft × ₹95) |
| Lifespan | 2–3 years — UV brittleness, sagging, tears | Lifetime SS316 cables, 10-year warranty |
| 10-year cost | ₹12,000–20,000 (3–4 replacements) | ₹9,500 — you never pay again |
| Child & pet safety | No — mesh is not load-rated | Yes — load-tested marine-grade cables |
| Looks | Visible mesh across the view | Near-invisible from 2–3 metres |
| Maintenance | Re-tensioning, patching, full replacement | Occasional wipe-down |
| Best for | Renters, short stays, tight budgets | Owners, families, long-term homes |
Why A1 Grills
Why our pricing is different
Published rates
The table above is the price — the same number the surveyor carries. No door-step markup after you've waited in for the visit.
Minimum job ₹2,500
Stated upfront so tiny jobs don't get padded invisibly with 'extras' to reach the same total anyway.
Both quotes in one visit
The same surveyor prices the temporary net and the permanent invisible grill in one free visit, so you compare real numbers, not sales pitches.
Replacement reminder on record
Nets fail by year three. We log your install date and tell you before it does — in writing, with both options quoted again.
FAQ
Pigeon Net Price — common questions
What's included in the per-sq.ft rate?
The net material, fixings, labour and GST — installed and tensioned, not just the mesh. The only extras are quoted at the survey (for example rope access on high floors), never added at the door.
Why is there a minimum job value?
A crew visit costs the same whether the opening is 40 sq.ft or 200 sq.ft. The ₹2,500 minimum keeps small jobs honest — you see the floor price upfront instead of finding padding in the line items.
Is a cheaper street quote worth taking?
Usually not. The cheap quote saves on the two things that decide a net's lifespan: UV-stabilised material and proper tensioning. A bargain net that turns brittle or sags in a year costs more per year than a properly fitted one that lasts three.
Does the grill really cost less over 10 years?
Yes — the table above shows the math. A 100 sq.ft balcony re-netted every 2–3 years runs ₹12,000–20,000 over a decade; the invisible grill at flat ₹95/sq.ft is ₹9,500 once, with a 10-year warranty and child-safe, load-tested cables.
Is the survey free?
Yes — free, no obligation, and it covers both options: the surveyor measures once and quotes the temporary net and the permanent invisible grill in the same visit.
