2mm SS316 cables become visually invisible from a few feet away — your skyline stays yours.
Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Vashi is where Navi Mumbai started in 1972, and its balconies show the whole history. The 1975–95 CIDCO blocks of Sectors 9, 9A and 10 are now the city's biggest redevelopment cluster, Sector 17 is its most expensive address, and the Palm Beach Road towers from Sector 19D onward look straight across Thane Creek. All of them share the same creek air, the same monsoon, and — since the feeding ban — the same pigeons. An invisible grill is the one balcony fix that works for a building waiting on redevelopment and a brand-new sea-facing tower alike.

Living in Vashi
Vashi was the first node CIDCO built across the creek, so it has the oldest stock in Navi Mumbai. Sectors 9, 9A and 10 are classic low-rise CIDCO housing — the JN-2 type blocks of CIDCO Apartment in Sector 9, Sakar CHS in 9A, Little Flower and Utkarsh — and most of it has crossed 30 years. Ten of the 28 redevelopment proposals live in the NMMC area in February 2026 were in Vashi, with Sector 9 the cluster, and the 2026–27 list of extremely dangerous buildings names Little Flower CHS, Noor CHS, Sumangal and Ashtavinayak. Sector 17 is the other extreme: Archana Jyoti, Basera, Apeejay and about thirty more societies around Inorbit at the highest rates in the node, with Gami Down Town Avenue under construction. Sectors 28 and 29 — Mahavir Arcade, Padmasagar, Geetika, Indraprastha — sit between them, and the Palm Beach Road edge carries the new luxury: Goodwill Wisteria's four G+23 towers in Sector 19D and Godrej Bayview's 24 to 29 floors in Sector 9 handing over through 2030.
Who lives here is as mixed as the buildings. The original Agri-Koli families are still around Vashi village and the creek front; the APMC wholesale market in Sector 19, running since 1977, has filled the node with trader households; and because Vashi station is the first stop after Mankhurd and the terminal for both Harbour and Trans-Harbour lines, every sector has Mumbai commuters. Schools like Fr. Agnel in Sector 9A and hospitals like Fortis Hiranandani keep the family stock turning over, and redevelopment has brought investors into the Sector 9 and 10 blocks.
The conditions are creek conditions. The Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary — a Ramsar site since 2022 — runs along the western bank, Mini Seashore and Sagar Vihar sit on the promenade, and Palm Beach Road runs ten kilometres parallel to the harbour, so balconies in Sectors 8A to 10A, 19D and 28 to 30 get salt-laden air through the monsoon. Sector 17 waterlogs in heavy rain; NMMC finally started the Sector 8A stormwater pumping station in November 2025 after a six-year delay. On the APMC side of Sector 19 the pre-dawn truck movement leaves market grime on every open balcony. And although NMMC has banned pigeon feeding, feeding continues along the Palm Beach Road corridor, and the droppings stain walls and corrode anything painted. Mild-steel grills do not last here; SS304 pits on the creek-facing sectors.
Verified partner crews in the A1 Grills network quote ₹149 per square foot installed across Vashi — Sector 9 CIDCO block or Palm Beach Road tower, same rate. A cable system suits the redevelopment belt because it adds nothing structural and comes out cleanly when the building goes; it suits the new towers because it keeps the creek view. Every install is fitted from inside the flat, load-tested on handover, and carries the installer's 10-year written warranty.
Crews cover every Vashi sector — the Sector 9/10 CIDCO blocks, Sector 17 around Inorbit, Sectors 28–30, the Palm Beach Road towers and the APMC side of Sector 19.

FAQ · Vashi
₹149 per square foot installed, in writing, for SS316 marine-grade cables on anodised aluminium track with stainless tensioners and labour included. Quotes are free and you are matched with up to 2 verified installers so you can compare. That is below every published Vashi number — the directory listings that rank for the locality show ₹180 to ₹316 per square foot — and well under the ₹200-plus that Palm Beach Road societies are often quoted for sea-facing work.
Yes, and a cable grill is the sensible choice for exactly that situation. It bolts to the slab with no welding, no cutting and no change to the approved elevation, so the managing committee can approve it without affecting the redevelopment proposal, and it comes out in an hour when the building is vacated. Redevelopment timelines in Vashi run years from proposal to possession, which is a long time to leave a child's balcony open. Installers provide the drawing and spec sheet the committee asks for.
Usually within 24–48 hours of your call. The network matches you with verified installers near you on the Vashi–Sanpada side, reached off the Sion–Panvel Highway or straight up Palm Beach Road. The site visit takes about half an hour, the written quote follows the same day, and a standard balcony installs in one working day. Crews avoid the APMC rush on the Sector 19 side by scheduling after the morning market clears.
Not SS316. Marine-grade stainless with a nylon coat is specified precisely for salt-laden air of the kind the Thane Creek front delivers through the monsoon, and it is the only grade the network fits in Navi Mumbai. SS304 — which is what a cheaper quote usually means — pits on creek-facing balconies within a few seasons, and painted mild steel bleeds rust down the wall. Pigeon droppings wipe off the coated cable with a wet cloth. Corrosion is covered by the installer's 10-year warranty.
